eli and i are so lucky to be able to walk these streets every day. montreal is just beautiful.

 
my little sleeping beauty! (and yes, we've been watching star wars.)


bought this bread maker on sale at the bay. and oh man, was it ever worth it! so far we've made a couple regular loaves, a cheesy loaf and pizza dough! this week i think we'll try some cinnamon bread.
(anyone have any good recipes?)

  2. a breadmaker is at the top of my christmas list this year! nothing beats the smell when you're baking bread! :)

    1. It's truly a great investment. You forget how delicious homemade bread is. And not just bread, you can make so much with them! Also, it's so easy. With Eli demanding that I either hold him or play with him, I find it SO simple. With baby on hip I just throw everything in the bread pan, it's amazing!

  3. A little bread machine secret: Use only the dough cycle and let it knead your bread for you, then roll it out, and let it rise another 30 minutes (nearly double in size) in a bread pan and bake. It cooks at a different consistency and is so so good!

    1. Thanks for the tip! We've been loving the dough cycle; so far we have made some good pizza crusts and dinner rolls. Basically, we're in love :)
